MIAMI, Oklahoma –The 12th ranked Northern Oklahoma College Maverick baseball team played long ball Monday hitting six homeruns in a sweep of Northeastern A&M in Miami in the final games before spring break.
NOC (25-5) won the first game 4-3 and the nightcap 14-7.
Mavs 4, NEO 3
Ben MacNaughton had two home runs while Joey Pena and Cacy Harper added solo blasts each in a 4-3 in over NEO.
Tyler Kisner (5-0) pitched the first five innings allowing no earned runs. Bryson Armstrong earned the save with a perfect seventh inning.
MacNaughton had three hits for the Mavs.
Mavs 14, NEO 7
Joey Pena and Garrett Crone homered in a 14-7 win in the second game at NEO. Pena added a double and four runs batted in while Austin Glock and Luke Quick had two hits each.
Jaken Snider (2-0) earned the win for the Mavs allowing no runs and four hits over four innings.
The Mavs led 9-0 before NEO rallied to within 12-7 in the sixth inning.
