EDMOND, Oklahoma -- The Northern Oklahoma College Mavericks rallied from a seven run deficit to outlast Pratt 12-11 Thursday at UCO in Edmond.
NOC (9-2-1) pounded out 18 hits including five for extra bases including home runs by Ben MacNaughton and Joey Pena.
From the leadoff spot, MacNaughton had four hits while Kade Marlatt, Eric Gutierrez, and Luke Quick added three hits each. Pena had three rbi's while MacNaughton, Harper, Marlatt, and Quick had two runs batted in each.
Chase Bridges (1-0) tossed six innings out of the Mavs bullpen allowing no earned runs on just four hits striking out nine. Kirby Lohrengel picked up the final out on a strikeout earning the save.
NOC trailed 8-1 until the fifth when the Mavs scored six runs to cut the lead to 8-7.
The Mavs then took a 12-8 lead into the 9th before Pratt rallied for three runs cutting the lead to 12-11.
The Mavs travel to Enid Sunday for games with Iowa Central at noon and Pratt at 3 p.m.
