Mavs Baseball splits with Bacone

The Northern Oklahoma College Mavs Baseball Team split a pair of games with Bacone Monday afternoon in Tonkawa.

NOC (8-2-1) won the opener 7-4 and dropped the nightcap 5-4.

Game 1

Mavs 7, Bacone 4

The Mavs used a six run fourth inning to outlast Bacone 7-4 Monday afternoon.

Ben MacNaughton, Joey Pena, Cale Francis, and Bryan Burgos had two hits each for the Mavs, MacNaughton and Cacy Harper had two runs batted in each.

Trevin Michael (1-0) was the winner for the Mavs allowing only two hits in five innings of work.  He struck out nine and walked just two.  Jaken Snider picked up the save getting the final two outs.

The Mavs sent 10 men to the plate in their big fourth inning.

Game 2

Bacone 5, Mavs 4

Bacone won the second game of Monday's twin bill 5-4.  Bacone was leading the second game when it was called due to darkness after seven innings.

Cale Francis led the Mavs with two hits including a double while Cacy Harper had two runs batted in.

Seth Martin started for the Mavs with relief help from Chase Bridges and Ethan Wilson.
