Mavs score 26 runs in sweep over Hesston

HESSTON, Kansas --  The #5 NOC Mavs scored 26 runs in a double header sweep of Hesston College Saturday in Hesston, Kansas.

Saturday's sweep improved the Mavs to 27-2-1 on the year.

In Game 1, Rhett Rutledge had three doubles while Kade Marlatt added two hits to lead the Mavs to an 8-4 win.  Tanner Long and Eric Gutierrez each drove home two runs for the Mavs.

Trevin Michael (6-1) earned the win with relief help from Ethan Wilson and Chase Bridges.  Bridges tossed three innings of one-hit relief striking out four.

In Game 2, Gabe Griffith had three hits including a grand slam and five rbi's for the Mavs in an 18-6 win over Hesston.

Dominick Trevino had five hits scoring three runs while Chris Cloud had two hits and three runs batted in.

NOC out hit Hesston 18-7.

Jack Edmunson was the Mavs starter allowing two earned runs in four innings.  Three mavs came of out of the pen including Keegan Collett (2-0) who earned the win allowing two unearned runs.  He struck out two walked five.  Albert Baez and Tyler Kisner combined for three scoreless innings to finish the game.

NOC travels to Randall University for two games Monday afternoon.
