Northern Oklahoma College has selected Jayden Miller to lead the NOC Women's Wrestling Program at NOC Tonkawa.

The program will begin wrestling in Fall 2024.

Miller comes to NOC from Southwestern Oregon Community College where he served as an assistant for the men's and women's wrestling programs.

"I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity that Northern Oklahoma College has given me," Miller said.  "It has been a dream of mine to be a college head coach since I was little. To be the Inaugural Head Women's Wrestling Coach at NOC is something I take with a great deal of pride."

"I want to thank the people who have helped me along the way," he added.  "Southwestern Oregon Community College coaches Adam Whitlach and Josh White were a big help. They are two excellent coaches who treated me like family.  I definitely wouldn't be here without them. The entire SWOCC athletic department has help me become a better person I can't begin to thank them. I would also like to thank Chad Mattox because he was a huge help in getting my foot in the college door.:

"I would also like to thank my parents have been nothing but constant support for me since I started wrestling so many years ago," Miller said.  "They were my support system throughout this whole process. I can't wait to get started. This has all been surreal. I can't begin to thank everyone at NOC for giving me this opportunity."

NOC Athletic Director Alan Foster is excited for Miller to start the women's program.

"After a long thorough process, I am happy to identify Jayden Miller to be the head coach to lead the women's wrestling program at Northern Oklahoma College," Foster said.  "Jayden's experience at the college level brings an immediate understanding of recruiting and what is needed to run a college program."

Miller is a native of Gothenberg, Nebraska, and wrestled collegiately at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska.  At Hastings, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Recreation Management.

The new women's coach was active in the community where he served as youth wrestling coach for the Hawks Wrestling Club in Nebraska and a youth football coach.

Miller will also assist the NOC Tonkawa Men's Wrestling program.
