Maverick basketball named Jordan Holman and Mohamed Kante as Student Athletes of the Week. Holman is a sophomore from Hugo, Oklahoma, while Kante is a freshman from Wings Academy in The Bronx, New York.

Holman averaged 21.7 points per game, 8.3 rebounds per game, and shot 53.8 % from the field last week while Kante averaged 14.0 points per contest.

"Jordan found her rhythm Saturday and is playing like the team leader we expect she will be her sophomore year," said coach Greg Krause.
